1807 - First wool exports to England by James Macarthur. 1807 - Governor Bligh made Order forbidding the distillation of spirits. The use of rum as a currency was forbidden. 1807 - Darcy Wentworth suspended from official duties by Governor Bligh for alleged misconduct. 1807 - Warrant issued for arrest of John Macarthur. 1809 - Severe drought in NSW destroys crops and causes water shortages. 1809 - First detachment of the 73rd Regiment arrived in Sydney on board the convict ship Boyd (14/8/1809). 1809 - Full complement of the first battalion of the 73rd Regiment arrived on the H. M. Storeship 'Dromedary' and the H. M. S. 1810 - Governor Lachlan Macquarie took office (1/1/1810). 1810 - Recall of New South Wales Corps to England. 1810 - Ellis Bent became the colony's third deputy Judge Advocate. 1810 - First official cedar shipments from Shoalhaven and Illawarra districts. 1810 - Windsor Road was constructed. 1810 - William Bligh departs the Colony on the Hindostan. 1810 - Land grants, trials and persons appointed to positions since removal of Governor Bligh were nullified. 1810 - Napoleon Bonaparte orders the destruction of Sydney from Mauritius however a British fleet captures Mauritius before the orders could be carried out.

Sent to Castle Hill Lunatic Asylum to serve as its medical officer. 1814 - Road opened between Parramatta and Liverpool. 1814 - Surveyor George Evans discovered the Bathurst Plains. 1814 - Work underway on Great Western Road built by convict labour linking the Nepean to Bathurst. 1814 - Traces of gold found by convicts while working on the Bathurst Road.
